Simple, but good: this is the motto of the chefs at Casa Villa Imperina. Our dishes are local and are all prepared in our kitchens using fresh, top quality produce.
Our breakfast consists of a buffet with cereals, homemade jams, cakes and biscuits from our kitchen. For those wishing for something more substantial, there is no shortage of cold cuts, cured meats and cheeses. If you prefer a more British breakfast, our chefs are on hand to make bacon omelettes. For lovers of a more traditional cuisine there is choice of brioches and fruit yogurts. The restaurant serves freshly brewed tea and coffee directly from the Villa Imperina hotel bar.
Our starters consist of local cheese and cured meats. We serve cured wild boar ham, cured venison, donkey, and pork. The most prized among the cheeses available are foom, morlacco and piave imbriago, all typical products from Agordo and the neighbouring area.
The first courses all centre on homemade pasta: tagliatelle, buckwheat orecchiette, ravioli stuffed with venison or roe deer ragout, as well as potato gnocchi. For soup lovers, there are delicate creams made with potatoes and onions or local herbs from the Valle Imperina.
Our restaurant’s second courses are mainly based on meat and game. We serve lamb chops, cutlets of venison, roe deer stew with polenta, pastin with sautéed vegetables and polenta or grilled cheese.
